Call for Applications: Gender Sensitivity Training for Photojournalists

OXFAM and the PHOTOJOURNALISTS’ CENTER OF THE PHILIPPINES will be conducting a Gender Sensitivity Training which aims to broaden knowledge in covering issues concerning gender sensitivity. It also aims to provide us with useful information about the rights of the vulnerable sectors such as women, children, LGBTQI, the indigenous people, among others.

The event will take place in Quezon City, Philippines on February 11, 2019

Participants will also be given a TRAVEL GRANT after the training to specific areas where he or she will be able to work on a story. Prior work in gender-sensitive stories and the ability to pitch and publish a photo story in a national publication are part of the criteria but not a strict requirement. PCP members will be given priority before it is opened to non-members.

Requirements:

Work as a photojournalist or documentary photographer.

Have at least a year of professional experience.

Accomplished online form.

Application:

The application is open to all photojournalists/documentary photographers based in the Philippines. Priority is given to regular members of PCP. We will select ten (10) applicants.

We encourage photojournalists who are part of the women sector, the indigenous people, LGBTQI community, persons with disabilities, and other vulnerable sectors to send their application.

The application form should be completed, signed and scanned as pdf-file.
