Photojournalists recognized with"Pagkilala ng Kagitingan"

The Photojournalists’ Center of the Philippines, Inc. applauds its members for being among the honorees at the recent Araw ng Kagitingan event organized by an alliance of groups for human rights.

Ezra Acayan, DJ Diosina, Vincent Go, Raffy Lerma, Jun Santiago, Eli Sepe and Jun Sepe were cited for their courage and relentless work in documenting extrajudicial killings and other human rights abuses as a result of the government's drug war.

Also given a "Pagkilala ng Kagitingan" were: Eloisa Lopez, Jes Aznar, Kimmy de la Cruz, Patricia Evangelista, Carlo Gabuco, Czar Dancel, Aye Balagtas and Alix Arumpac.

PCP, Inc. commends the "Night Crawlers" for their steadfast commitment in documenting these stories in an attempt to make the public more discerning on issues currently affecting our society.

The recognition, which was given by The Movement Against Tyranny, Let’s Organize for Democracy and Integrity, Coalition against Darkness and Dictatorship and Ladies who launch also honored Chief Justice Lourdes Sereno, Joanna Carino and Rise up for Life and Justice for courageously defending democracy and human rights despite threats and harassment.
